Hi!
I'm located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada and happily drive a 1984 325e. It's got 238,000 kms and looks and runs quite well.
I bought the car last September in Vancouver and drove it home from there, a total distance of more than 5000 kms. I eschewed hotels, so for five consecutive days I lived completely in the car. We have bonded now and shall never part.
In addition to it's comfortable interior, I appreciate the relaxed demeanor and torquey self-assuredness of this early E30. I was initially ashamed of its 4500 rpm redline (my last car having been a revvy AE86 Toyota), but grew to accept and even boast of it. I mean, hey, if an engine can do everything it needs to do by 4500 rpm, why make it rev any higher?
Glad to be able to celebrate the beauties of Bavaria with you all and looking forward to begging for your help when I botch repairs.
