New member here making my first post by saying hello and needing some advice...i for two weeks have been looking at several 325i's..today I will be making my way to a dealership to view a 2003 325i with 93000miles..I read answers found elsewhere on the web that the cars are reliable but also read be cautious when buying one close to ten years old..this is my first time seriously wanting to buy a BMW and I don't know much about them..I will basically use the 325 to ride on weekends..

Would this '03 with 93000 be a good buy?..what type of scheduled repairs should I soon expect?...

Welcome to Bimmerwerkz. It could be a good by, but get an inspection done first. Their is nothing wrong with a 10 year old car if it's been properly maintained so make sure you look for service records. The cooling system normaly fails at around 100,000 miles or so. Replacing the stock water pump, and expansion tank with an upgraded aluminum one usuaally makes it good to go for the rest of the cars life.

As with any car, its maintenance and previous owner history can make for good reading prior to purchase. It can also be money wel spent by having an independant group check the car over properly.

Thanks gentlemen for the replies..I will take into consideration your replies and continue to search for MY bimmer..I was unable to view the one I mentioned because of extended hours at work so, maybe this weekend I will view several and make my choice..thanks again for your time..

I always avoid the early versions of New Models as there are always "Teething" probs to iron out and often result in recalls ! Just my opinion
