| Recently purchased a '99 ///M3 convertable
Like I said I just got a '99 M3 convertable and I'm pretty pleased with it. I do have one problem though. The darn top has already quit working on me. I was putting it down one day before leaving for work and the rear cover hung on the back of the top. When that happened I heard what sounded like to me gears slipping. I got the lid free from the top and finished putting the top down. After I got to work I was going to put the top back up but it only made it through the first stage. When the rear lid went down it didn't go all the way down so the top wouldn't finish closing. I had to put it back down and leave it until I could get my manual and figure out how to manualy put the top back up. So now I'm riding with the top up all the time. Granted it is cold right now so I can't put it down anyway but it's the fact that I couldn't if i wanted to. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to reset the top without taking it to the dealer and getting raped. Thanks in advance for any input. |
