I have a 1993 3 series bmw....my car ran fine this morning, but went to go out again and my car won't start. I hear a clicking from under the glove box i believe...i tried to jump it and the radio came on so its not the battery or maybe it is??? who knows?????Please let me know....thanks in advance
The clicking noise sounds like the starter motor thats mounted near the flywheel (close to where you herd the noise). If its clicking, it may not have enough power to spin hence the 'click'
Or the starter or solenoid is fowled internally - This happened to me the other week...
I used a wooden pick-axe handle and a hammer, bashed the starter a couple of times and VOILA !! Just like new Hahahahaha

Put your headlights on and try cranking it, if the lights dim dramatically then its likely to be the battery on its way out. Not really a big deal, but enough to stop you dead.
