Odometer isn't visible
I think I need to replace my odometer. How does one go black??? At night, I can somewhat see the odometer. Is this a reflection from the other light bulbs in the cluster panel or is there the light buld by/ near the odometer that makes it glow? Or do I have to place the odometer itself. If so, keeping the true mileage is very important. Does a repair shop need to "recalibrate" or reset the actual mileage? What is the procedure here? Thanks

I had this problem in my E36. Basically you have a light bulb out.

Funny, my E36 was also a 1997 M3.

So It was only a light buld. Not the actual odometer that lights up?

There's a light bulb behind the odo that needs to be replaced.
