Out of curiousity, why did you decide to choose that particular Merc as a daily driver rather than, say, an E-class?
Good Question:
#1) Identity-The unimog is Vinyl Wrapped in Advertising target marketing Headliner & Sunroof Repair on European Cars with Factory Sunroofs. My own Personal Traveling Bill Board.
#2) Once you drive a 30-40 Year Old Unimog, NO AC,No Power Steering,No Fancy Upholstery that is the Most incredible Machine on the Road much less Off Road, Great Vantage Point, Everyone Looks, You wont care about having, all the creature comforts that a E-Class would Have.
#3) Good on Fuel- I Get about 16 miles per gallon.
#4) Parts are readily available and inexpensive compared to what you may think.
#5) You will never misplace your Unimog in the parking lot because all the other Unimogs Don't look a like , thats if you can find another Unimog even in town
Cool. 80 HP, let's see, 0 - 60 in what... 7 minutes? Got pics?
I'm lucky if it can go 60mph down hill in natural.
The biggest problem daily drivers have that are behind me is they dont understand "Nor do they care" that i do not accelerate as fast as they do, But dont be fooled i will cruise at 50mph and arrive at the traffic light their sitting at before the light turns green, then were off again to the next light.
I enjoy me daily drive, I Leave in plenty of time to get where im going unlike the rest of the world.
If your behind me and late for work its not my fault im not driving faster, you should set your alarm clock and allow your self enough time to get safely across town with out putting everyone and myself at risk.
other than that, I love driving my Unimog, matter of fact why own one when you can have 2.
