No Heat

Hi I have just joined the forum after inheriting a 1991 318i. It is winter this side of the world and I discovered my heater is not working. any idea's would be great?

The heater core is likely blocked, it's a small version of the car's cooling radiator mounted just forward of the firewall I think.
