Newbie seeks advice.

Hi all,

I have owned a number of cars, last of which was a Calibra Turbo. I think it is near time i purchased a decent car, i am looking for a Manual 328i coupe and as you guy's know your stuff i was hopeing i could get a few hinters as to what to look out for with this model (The good's , bads and hopefully very little ugly's).

Any advise much appreciated.

Hi Stephen, look for a car with a fully stamped up BM service history,in England all main dealers keep computerised records, so you can ring them and quote the reg no and get the total history on the car.A car that has been properlly serviced by a dealer is normally a good bet. If you can buy it from the owner so much the better,it should come a bit cheaper than from a dealer, the mark up on these cars is quite high here.If your smart and capable of haggling you should do ok. Thanks for the advice, have you anything around the £3000 - £3500 price range in a coupe thats clean and tidy?

hey geezer i am in England. you are going to struggle to find a decent motor at that price.Does it have to be a coupe?
