Newbie checkin' in !

Hi guys'n'gals !

Just joined, so checking in with the new neighbors !

Recently bought a 1996 328i here in Brasilia, Brazil !
Bimmers, even old ones here are very expensive, so had to search real hard to find a good one ! Mines had just 2 previous owners, the first was an older lady, the second (like me) a middle aged(ish) guy who always wanted to own a bmw ! A 1996 328i with just 55,000 miles ! Just hope it lasts well and doesn't have any problems ('cos the wife was against buying such an old car !) Any advice on what to look out for in the next few thousand miles would be greatly appreciated !

Congradulations on the new car.
I've owned 2 E36 (318 and now m3) Few things you should check on these cars are...

-Rear shock Mounts
-RTAB
-Cooling System (radiator/thermostat housing)
-Brake Light Switch
-Also a good idea to flush all your fluids so you don't have to worry about it for the next couple of years
