Kerryf here. I'm about to acquire a 2005 330i convert with a manual trans.
Great as these cars are, there are usually 1 or 2 things that one should watch like a hawk (yes, I'm from Iowa!). What are those few things for this car?
Well its not convertible season at the moment in the mid west. Maybe you should take a run to LA or Miami, but I guess its a long way to go just to get your top off. I guess you can still enjoy cruising in the knowledge that the warmer weather is only 3 or 4 months off.
If its any consolation to you, we aren't having a really warm summer here, but that could change in the next week or so.
