A early model E30 318 definitely is a great car to learn how to work on. Not much in terms of electronics, just the good ol' mechanical components.

hey i just got my first BMW as well Its a 1993 E-36 318is and its pretty sweet its got kinda high mileage but hey the interior and the paint are immaculate so its all good im gonna start with the exaughst system and intake this year but it looks promising
