I have a 98 e39 and my issue is the a/c. It was working fine, until under the hood made this squeeling noise and then the cold air stopped. Can anyone help me, cause man it is HOT here.

Welcome to the Werkz.

I'd guess that the AC belt is gone, or the compressor is seized/screwed. Does it look like the belt is intact? Can you hear the compressor engage when the AC is on?
