Exclamation newbee

hello every1.
this is my very first thread on the this site and i like to say hello to everyone. the reason i joined this forum is to educate myself of the great german auto BMW and to also upgrade my own 528i to be more stylish.http://www.bimmerwerkz.com/forum/ima...ilies/cool.gif

up untill now i've been (and still am) a ford fan with the ownership of a mustang gt wich i traded on the 97 e39. wow, what a big difference in ride (not power, lol) and comfort. http://www.bimmerwerkz.com/forum/ima...ilies/wink.gif

if you want power, you need to upgrade to e39 540 - it does 1/4 miles in low 14s, which is pretty much same as previous generation GT

yes, the 540 would have been an ideal car, but i couldnt find an automatic, which is what the wife wanted (she cant drive manual). we came across a good deal on the 97 528i 79k miles with price sticker of $15k. the dealer offered me $4.5k for the built 96gt, which ran 13.7s at 1/4. actualy i got the bimmer for $11k even with tax/tags/warranty and all.
