new,passing 323 2 son,looking 4 e39 00-02

Hello,
I am old,old, bmw person.
ouch
anyway I am passing my 99 323 to my college son(150kmiles, so I guess its time)
I am looking for a 5 series e39 75 to 110 k miles, sport, dark color, not black interior. probably auto ( I know, nursing home here I come)
I am looking at one local now
ANYONE WITH e39 buying ideas I'll listen. I have not owned a 5 since my new 88 528.
don't know what to look for.

I don't know much about 5ers, so I can't be of help there. Best of luck with the buying process.

I'll let you know already, since I see you are in Fort Worth, that several forum members are getting together the weekend of June 20-22 here in the DFW are (details TBD). It would be cool if you and your son joined the crowd.
