Hi, I'm Peter and I live in Estepons in the South of Spain. I have a collection of cars, didn't mean to, just ended up that way.
1987 Mercedes 2.3-16v Cosworth, awaiting fuse box and new rings.
1995 Eagle SS Vw based kit car (see at
home - Home) Many years of work and still being modified and changed on a weekly basis, will it ever be finished, no.
2001 Mercedes A170cdi Long, wife's work car
Suzuki AN400 1999 awaiting rebore after a blow up, (again).
So, I just bought this 1987 BMW 320i auto, 4 door in white with a front and boot spoiler as I needed something for going to work and I prefer the classic 1980s cars to the new plastic cars.
It is about 95% original just needs a few bits to get back into shape such as a front bumper, a couple or three alloy wheels, left mirror (OK but doesn't work).
A tune up as she sounds like an indistrial sewing maching, (tacka, tacka, tacka) but goes fairly well for an oldie, after pickin her up I found out on a damp road I only had 1.5 bar in the tyres as it was like driving on ice and it swaped ends twice on a bend and even when getting over that 600 meters later it lost it again and I was driving so slow at the time too.
Driver's seat doesn't raise, a dog has chewed the handbrake lever grip, boot catch loose, rear left central locking doesn't work but apart from that, OK. not bad for 1,200€ with a new test cert'. My son-in-law has a 525tds and found it quite amusing when I bought a bemmer and not a Merc 190e
