New member with starter problems 1995 318i

Hi fellas! thank you for taking a look at my post and willing to help...

In the last couple of days my 1995 318i has been starting kinda rough but after stepping on the gas pedal a few times the engine starts running normal... a little shaky and some gas smell coming out, but only when starts. Today the car didn't start at all, I can hear the 2 or 3 click only.

I recently replaced: gas pump, fuel pressure regulator, I put two bottles of fuel cleaner, new water pump, thermostat.

Here is what I have done: since I only had 10 minutes to check the engine this morning, I looked at the spark plugs rubber covers and two of them had oil in them, 1 of them some white/grey dust but just tiny bit. Can this be the problem?

I'll appreciate some help!

I figured it out but is not fixed, at least I can drive it... If I keep the key in the ignition and let all the lights on for about a minute and step on the gas a few times. The engine will start! a little rough but starts. So I guess it's a gas pressure problem, BUT now instead of dedicating my weekend to fix that problem, some SOB jerk! broke my passenger window two nights ago (didn't steal anything)

When it does start does it run on its own or do you need to give it throttle to keep it running?

It runs on it's own but it takes about 30 seconds to run smooth. I also cleaned the MAF sensor yesterday with CRC and definitely gain more power. but the starting problem still there... I replace the 4 spark plugs 2 weeks ago but maybe some of them are not firing??

Thank you for replying.
