new member checking in...'Hello'

well, I've owned my 02 325i 5spd white w/ black leather since birth. It was ordered out of Crevier BMW in SoCal in Sept 2002 and arrived Nov.26, 2002. Longest wait ever...damn October Fest...at least that's what the dealer told me since it came out Germany!!!!She just clicked over 95K trouble free miles. Every year I keep telling myself this is the year I am getting a new car but everytime I see my car, I just end up asking myself 'WHY?'. Anyway, I'm keeping her. Just want to say 'hello' and hope to contribute and learn w/ you folks in this forum

Welcome to Bimmerwerkz! Keep her in good shape and you'll get many more years on her. Your coming up on the coolant system overhaul mark.

THANKS!! I try and keep her in great shape. I also asked my mechanic about the cooling system overhaul and was told not to do it yet.

The general consensus is that the 100,000 is around the time parts start failing. If theirs nothing wrong theirs no need to do it, but other owners believe that preventive maintenance is better then the car overheating and being stranded. I didn't replace my water pump until it failed. And I think I still have the original plastic thermostat housing.
