Hello all. I'm driving a 1999 BMW 318 TI. I bought it about a month ago and am loving it. I want to do an engine rebuild and will be tapping this forums information for places to get whole engine kits. Thanks for all the help in advance.
Well the engine looses around two quarts a week and I think it's from the front and rear main seals. Also the engine runs pretty rough at idle. 185,000 miles. I may only pull it and do a reseal and roll in rings and bearings only.
That would be a cheaper option. Someone on PT, a local BNW forum did a full seal and gasket refresh and got everything else cleaned up and his car ran much better. Two of his gaskets were cracked and he couldn't believe they weren't leaking.
