Hi my name is Vlad. i got an 2003 325xi, with a "few" problems which is why i decided to join this forum . i thought i could get advice from people who have a lot more experience with bmw's.

1. leaking steering fluid.

2. misfiring cylinders, i have no idea why. at first it was just 2 cylinders so, i replaced a coil, after that it seemed to run better but i dont know if all the cylinders actually worked correctly. now its running a lot worse. i scanned it with an OBD II tester, it says 4 cylinders misfiring with fuel cut off.

any tips, suggestions, and advice i would greatly appreciate.

Welcome to the Werkz.

Check that you have put the spark plug leads back on in the correct order.
Check if you are actually getting a spark on each lead, a spare spark plug will help you do this quickly.
If you are getting a spark, check if the spark plugs are clean, or all oily or sooted up.
Check your air flow meter, sometimes the easiest way to do this is to disconnect it totally by pulling the plug out of the connector.

What is the condition of the steering pump lines? They can become cracked and begin leaking.

i havent yet checked the condition of the steering pump lines.

the spark plugs are however all dark and a couple of them were oily, but when i put the coils back in and erased the obd2 codes and started up the engine, it came up with 3 codes instead of 12 like before. the codes state:

1.P1619 Map Cooling Thermostat Control Circuit Signal Low

2. P1349 Misfire Cylinder 4 with Fuel Cut-Off

3. P1345 Misfire Cynder 2 with Fuel Cut-Off

I have not yet checked if the sparks are getting sparks, and havent yet checked the air flow meter, as im not sure where its located and what to do exactly.

but i will get 6 new spark plugs, let me know if theres anything else i can try.
