drift805 - Well, here is some background on what's going on with my car. Maybe you can help. I came back last Monday from a cruise; my brother had been driving my car while I was gone with no problems. Monday night he drove my car home from work. I decided to take it for a spin (was missing it! LOL) and the car wouldn't start. When I turned the key to start it, the lights were flashing and the car wouldn't turn over. There was a message that the battery was low and would disengage soon. We jumped the car and it started automatically. It drove fine until Friday night. It did the same thing and wouldn't start or even turn over. I tried to jump it again but it still wouldn't start. My European mechanic was closed on Saturday so I called Mad Hatter Automotive to see if they could work on BMW's and they assured me that they could. So I had my car towed over there thinking it would be just a battery change. They put the new battery it. They said that I had been running off the auxillary battery because my battery was dead. They waited for the auxillary battery to charge but my car still wouldn't crank. I know with our Mercedes, when you disconnect the battery you have to reset something in the computer and I was thinking the same with the Beamer.
If you know anything about this, please advise. Also, it is time to have my microfilters replace. I don't think that has anything to do with the car not starting but I would like to know how to change them myself. I don't even know what they are, where they are, and what they do

....so any help would be appreciated. Your pictures did not come thru.
Thanks again!
