New member and 1st time owner of a beautiful 1998 540i with sports package
Love driving the new car w 4.4lv8 and man 6spd manual, the power is wild having problems with engine light and new code every 2 days, car is running great when it codes clear the codes and 2days a new code any sugestions?
Ive gotten one code p01003 and the others im sry I erased the codes. A little background on the car Ive owned it for 3wks the previous owner replaced the mass air flow, all the coils and completly tuned the car. Now 1 day after buying the car the oil lines from the filter were rubbing against each other and created a leak, it started with engine lights comming on. Vould it possibly be that the 02 sensors got oil on them and maybe need to be replaced. the previous owner stated that it was running fine and he cleared the previous codes from mass air. Iam kinda at a loss
