I joined here 2 months ago but kinda got sidetracked haha , so let me introduce myself
My name is Dan , 20 years old from NY , I am a mechanic , ASE Certified in everything except HVAC (missed it by 1 question) , cars are my life , they take up all my time and i have multiple projects going at all times , I have a Higher IQ than you would expect from a mechanic , and it pissed all my teachers off in High School because they believed I was wasting my abilities , but I would rather love doing a job that pays less than make millions and not love doin it.
on to the Car , my car is a 1987 325 , base model , 2.7 ETA engine with an automatic , needs alot of TLC , but i got it for $350 from a friend i went to high school with who is good with money but not with cars , and he is one of the few that recognizes my talent , car has 187k on the clock , but had a full engine rebuild at 130k at Towne BMW which is where the kids uncle is a Master BMW Tech
on to the plan , the plan is a 2.5 Head Swap , Turbo , 17 PSI of boost , Megasquirt , 5 Speed Swap , new body panels as needed , and a fresh coat of Mopar Blackberry paint , i know it is sacrilege to put Mopar paint on a BMW , but Blackberry is one of them colors that is well worth the Sacrilege
