This is my 2nd BMW. My 1st was a 2000 528i. It was very clean but gutless. After looking around a while I found 98 540i 6 Spd, Black w/Nav and TV. It is very much a project car but has some nice features to it. Hamman Rims and Exhaust, Wood Grain interior, Window Screens as well as tint (not sure if the screens were stock on these cars, H&R Sport Springs and Struts, Angel Eyes and more.
All for $5k with 120k miles. Not a bad find.
It needed a clutch and I am about to replace the control arm bushings.
Anyway, new to BMW's as I didn't own the 528 very long before deciding to look for the 540.
