You can get a nice 328i (sedan) or 328is (coupe) for about that much. I paid about $8k for my car a year ago. 328s in E36 were made from 96-98. Mods are definetly out there for the car. If you want to see the things you can do, check out the popular parts sites many of us use. go to the E36 section and click on "UPDATED: E36 DIY, Aftermarket parts and Info Links" look at some of the sites, its pretty endless as to what you can do. Also look at the vb garage of other members cars to give you an idea of things to do. as for body kits, dont get them, however getting an M3 front bumper or rear does look very good. Most 328s already have a body kit of some sort on the skirts... you'll see. good luck with your hunt!

used: Hey guys, haven't bought a beamer yet, but plan to here in the near future. I'm lookinginto 325is or if I can find one for a good deal, an older m3... what do you guys think. Anybody have alot of experiance with both cars to tell me how they compare? I don't need something that is deadly fast.( but I'd like that) just has enough umgh that you know when your taking off. oh yea. I'd also like to be able to go faster than my dads 944.
