Thumbs up New guy, looking to buy a e36

Just thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm new here, stopping in to buy an e36 coupe and hopefully learn a little about maintenance, simple diys.

Any issues I should look out for? I know about the coolant and electrical issues, as well as the RSM problems. What kind of reliability can I expect? Finally, is $3500 a reasonable amount to spend on a clean obd-1 325? I'm really looking for something stock and well-taken care of, not modded or otherwise molested.

thanks for any words of wisdom you'd care to offer!

Thanks! I'm no stranger to buying cars... this will be my 15th, but I'm getting tired of spending every weekend wrenching and would prefer something as hassle-free as possible for an aging German car.

Hi. Welcome to bimmerwerkz

I think you should be to find the car you want at around the price you propose. However, I doubt you'll find one that doesn't need any work done. Best of luck.

Hey, I'm in CT. I'd really rather have a 6cyl, but pm me the info on your car if you like - I'll still consider it.
