New to Forum. Handling ??? M3 vs. C63

Hi guys, just checking in with a first post.

I had about decided to pull the trigger on a M3 E92 DCT Sedan when they come out this summer but an old acquantience of mine took delivery on a C63 Merk and he's estactic about his new ride. I'd love the extra HP and low end tourque he has in the C63 but I can't imagine the C63 could come close to the handling of the M3. And the C63 transmition is no where near as good as the DCT in the M3. Anybody have any insights on the handling differences particuly for street use? I doubt I'll be seeing much track time...of course you never know.

The AMG just has LOADS of Torque and power and the M3 has the handling... it is like Mustang vs Z3

The M3 is the better of the bunch, as entertainment enjoy this top gear segment comparing the two and the audi rs4

There are also extensive recent comparisons by all the major auto mags - including Motor Trend and Road & Track. Nearly all favor the M3, with one having the C63 AMGY as #1 by a hair. Of course they are both great cars, but it indeed depends on what you want. Plus, donlt forgetthe option of a manual tranny in the Bimmer you cannot getin the Benz. That would easily cinch it for me. Good luck!

if I had the choice and considering that for the price of an E92 M3 (about 60000 Euro in Germany) you can get an E46 M3, E36 M3 AND E30 M3 all in ok condition, I'd rather have those
but that's just me

Thanks guys for all the replys. I'm an old musle car guy (64 GTO, Mustangs, 69 Z28) so the C63 really appeals to me but after driving the M3 I was very impressed with the fun you can have with a precise handling race bread car such as the M3. Straight line acceleration/drifting (C63) verus carving through corners (M3) is the delema I'm facing. Of course the M3 is no slouch when it comes to acceleration. I'll know more after driving the C63. Thanks for all the input.
