I stay in South Africa. drive a 330D E 46 (2004 model) It is a auto model.
Previously all my beemers were 328 models. Fuel consumption and torque move me in the 330d range.
I enjoy this car every time!! Up to now it service me well.
2 things though cost me a-lot of money (after everyone assure me NOT to renew the motorplan)
1. Turbo / Intercollegiate replace at 133 000 km. cost me $3500 (US Dollar)
2. Gearbox pack up on 172 000km. Cost me $2500 (US Dollar to recondition, BMW quote me $ 7600 for a new one - small country GDP!!)
Other than that I can not complain. In both BMW said I done good - this is a turbo which work on low revs - so expect it - on the gearbox - I think the engine push to mush power on the box - again BMW was amazed that it goes that far??
I hope to drive this car till at least 500 000km. I hope without serious issues - i.e. engine or ejector problems.
