i just purchased a 1997 BMW Z3 convertible. the exterior is in great shape but there are many issued with the interior. i have just had to replace the entire lock mechanism on the steering column and had a new sound system installed. there are many other issues that i want to tackle as my wallet will allow as time goes by. a previous owner had pretty well went nuts with the interior. the original seat were replaced with racing bucket seats and most of the gauges or lights behind the guage need to be replaced. i will tackle some projects myself with help from all of you but when it comes to mechanical stuff i will have a mechanic do it. i am a retired (disgruntled) postal worker not a mechanic.
) the car appears to be in decent mechanical shape.
