Just picked up a 1997 540I/6 MSport. 98,017 Miles. Silver/Grey. It needs some body work. I only paid 1800 for it. It runs and drives, as there was no mechanical damage in the accident.

I think I can save the drivers fender, but the rest of the front end will need replaced.

I can't wait to get it back on the road.
I've always wanted an E39.

Def needs some TLC, but, I think it'll be alright.

I'm hoping all goes smoothly. RockAuto is my best friend right now.

I'm hoping I can get this put back together and inspected by December.

Just found something interesting. To the best of my knowledge this does have DSP Audio. Well, it doesn't work. It works, but, there's no sound. It's sat for about 3 months. Battery has been hooked up that entire time I believe. Could a weak battery cause it to not function properly?

EDIT: I can't really run it right now because of a pinhole in the oilpan, so I guess I won't know for sure until that's plugged.
