Hello everyone,
I recently bought a 1999 323is w/ 94K miles. It needs some tlc but mechanically, it seems to be running ok.
One source of frustration that brought me to this forum is this:
Some of the cluster lights were out and needed replacing. I was told that I needed to remove steering wheel to remove cluster. I attempted this but did not get very far. Unplugged battery night before, removed airbag and white ring inside wheel. I got cold feet and did not go any further. (I found that Pelicanparts.com has tech bulletin showing how to remove cluster with wheel in place. I have done this and it worked).
Now back to problem. After putting back together, the horn had short sounds when the wheel was turned. That was about 2 weeks ago. Now that I have changed lamps and reset airbag light (existing problem), the horn does not work. I have checked fuse under the hood and it is ok.
Has anyone experienced this before or know of a fix to this problem?
Thanks for your help.
