| Question Lord Vader, I need to replace the car battery in my 2001 525i. I have inquired at two different BMW dealerships on the service required. One service dept. says it requires 1 1/2 hours of labour most of that for reprogramming, the other says there is no reprogramming required (except for the stereo) and that I could do it myself. So what's the truth? Also, is an aftermarket battery sufficient or should I stick with original equipment? Any help for a fellow Canadian? |
