New 328 owner - have a key question

I just got my 328i yesterday and I do love it. I have one question about the ability to open/close the windows and moonroof from outside the car. The open seems to work, but not the close.

Is there a trick to it that I'm just missing?

I always forget to close the moonroof when I get out of cars, so I think this is a cool feature.

Any help is appreciated!
