King 535i (E34)

I feel honoured to be part of this forum. The short side of it; recently acquired the iconic (E34, 535i). The ferocity of this machine is breathtaking. This is for the big boys!
Besides the well expected high fuel consumption. One issue. After driving between 120Km/h -160Km/h, the car simply does not want to restart after switching off. I have to wait for approx 30min before it can start. Alternatively, a kickstart does the trick.
Brethren PLEASE HELP.

how do you mean a 'kickstart'?

Hi Marti5, thnx for responding. Kickstart = Pushstart. (South Africa,JHB).

Further to that, just yesterday I rode her home averaging 70Km/h for +/-35Kms home. Upon my arrival, I switched off to open the gate (2mins). My baby would not start again. Everything else 'electricky' was/is working. I waited for 30min to let her cool-off but to no avail. I tried the old screw-driver trick on the starter but the starter just turns. No cranking of the engine. i eventually had to pushstart her which did the trick.

btw, the idle is also irregular. However in motion she's marvelous. Yesterday again, she developed a funny sort of whirring noise which resonates with the irregular rev (could be power steering); because when I turn, the sound is more evident.
