Hi Bimmerwerkz,

Well I just bought a 2000 328Ci. I love the car. I look forward to settling down here and working on my new ride. Got tons of questions already.

First : I am confused about the models. It appears I have a rare vehicle that was only made in 2000? So I am wondering how to match parts? Its a 2dr coupe, do I match with E46 models from 1999-2003? is E46 for body and all 3series mechanical parts should fit? Kinda confused here.

Second : where can I find a repair manual?

Third : Is this vehicle included in the subframe issues and recalls from the 3series models in that time frame?

Forth: looks like I will already need some repairs? any good salvage or OEM dealers etc? (found supporting vendors)

Fifth: After buying the car I discovered 3rd gear grinds when I skip 4 on a down shift, and sometimes from 4th. Providing I know enough not lock my trans up going 100 and popping it into 1st gear, how bad of a scenario is this?

Yes to most of those mate... But the coupe has different lenses from the saloon E46...
328 was replace with the 3ltr that year !
And thats about all... HTH
