Hi folks. I just bought a lemon law 2006 550i the last day of June. I upgraded from a 2000 740iL which I loved for 4 years.
This car has nice equipment:
Automatic transmission
Active steering
Sports suspension settings
Dynamic Drive
Emergency spare wheel
Integrated universal remote control
Comfort access
Shadow-Line
Sun-blind, rear
Roller sun visor, rear lateral Warning triangle and first aid kit
Interior/outside mirror with auto dip
Interior mirror with automatic-dip Fine wood trim
Sports seat
Seat heating driver/passenger
Park Distance Control (PDC) Xenon Light
Adaptive Headlights
BMW LA wheel, style 124
Navigation system Professional
Head-up display
Voice control
USA/CDN Satellite tuner
CD changer for 6 CDs
HiFi system Professional DSP
Area-Code 1 for DVD
Control unit COP
Seat adjustment, electric, with memory
Automatic air conditioning
Cruise control
Light package
White direction indicator lights
I love the power over the last car, and upgraded options from the last car.
HOWEVER, in the first 90 days I replaced a radiator fan @ $1200, and I discovered that the 10K dealer oil changes had led to an expensive upcoming repair: leaking valve seals that cause embarrassing smoking at stoplights and drive-throughs. D'oh! But I got the car at a great price with service history, so I think I'm going to save up for the engine repair and do 3-5K oil changes here on.
Let me know your thoughts!
