I guess I just want one that will give me the code so I can find out what the problem may be. And hopefully find a DIY solution for it.
I did, in fact, go to a local auto parts store and they not only sold the devices, but also checked your car for free, like you mentioned. The store clerk asked why I was considering buying one when he could do it for free? lol
They carried the Actron product line with about 5 different models. Just not sure what would be considered overkill for a weekend warrior like myself.
Come to find out, the error message I was getting was the infamous p0491 and 92. Plenty of posts on that!
