I am thinking of owning a BMW again.

Hello everyone my last BMW was a 1971 2800 Bavaria which I sold about 26 years ago. I have a chance to buy a 1993 525I automatic with 136000 miles on it. What is this car worth and is it desirable? I am now driving a 1993 300E 2.8 Mercedes.

It's a decent car. m50tu, plenty of power, no major issues ... 3500-5000 range as far as price, depending on condition.

Look for front suspension shaking etc, that usually goes bad. Other than that, the automatic transmission is actually a GM transmission, so that likes to go bad as well quite often.

Hi. Welcome. I will agree with Torque on teh buying tips. If possible, try to get records that show that the transmission fluid has been changed a couple of times during the life of teh car.

if you're really serious, it's best to take it to a bmw certified independednt shop or the dealer for a pre purchase inspection. 50-100 dollars could end up saving you big money.
