I paid 30000 SEK (about 3800 $USD).
Bought it in August, things i've had to replace so far:
*Oil+filter, Brake fluid.
*Crankshaft position sensor (fault code was there when i bought it, jerking and stalling)
*Front+rear tires (last owner didn't get an alignment after lowering the car)
*Thermostat+housing (started to stick open approx. 3 months after buying the car)
*Water Pump (while i was down there, old one had the orange plastic impeller)
*Suspension kit (springs and shocks all around, car was very bouncy. It's like a go-cart now =P)
The only mods i've made is the "golf-tee exhaust mod" and "debaffled/desnorkeled" the airbox. (And of course the lowering suspension kit)
A lot of car for the money, and since i do all the work myself i only pay for parts. I love driving it, it's so much fun!
