most of the issues are interior cosmetics (door panels, window motors etc). I figured the best way to change the starter would be to pull the intake manifold so while im in there im gonna just drop the transmission and put the motor on my engine stand and install some new gaskets (oil pan, valve cover, rear main seals, intake gasket), hoses, belts and test what i can on it to make sure its all working while its apart.
I'm going to use this to drive back and forth to work each day while I put my 95 Ford thunderbird up for a much needed overhaul

One of the Junk yards near me has around 20 of these bmw's so I'm going to go picking early this next week to see if i can find any treasure!
