Hello from sunny Cornwall

Found this forum by chance, thought I'd better say hello.

I'm from sunny (rainy) Cornwall and am ready to convert from Vauxhall to an E46 BMW.

The model I'm thinking of replacing my Vauxhall is the E46 318i SE (either saloon, coupe or compact)

Besides service history, is there anything else that I need to know or look out for before purchasing this model?

I understand number(s) of keys are important, so how many keys should they come with?

Do I get 2 keys with remotes as standard? If not, then how much is a second key with remote?

AFAIK there are usually 2 keys with remote and a valet key. Happy hunting,
