I own a BMW 330 Diesel automatic, (E46, 2002 model).
Front and rear (passenger) footwells were very wet the other day so i guess this is the best place to come to search for info on similar issues.

check the foam vapor barriers on each door panel which are underneath the panels. these are common to leak especially if they have been removed in order to replace the window regulators.
