Hey everyone, this is my first time using a forum. I have a few questions to begin with and am not sure where to post them: Anyone know of any exhausts for a 2008 x3? problem is there is a valve in the tailpipe and not sure what to do with it if i remove the stock muffler. Also can the auto trans be converted to a manual?
I think the valve is just to muzzle the noise at low engine speeds. It opens to allow better flow at teh cost of noise when the engine is revving faster. Look in the picture below and let me know if that looks representative of teh valve you are seeing.
