Hello, Might be getting an 84 E30 have a few questions

I found a really nice E30 325E for sale with the following parts and upgrades.

I am really concidering buying it but wanted to know a bit about the car before purchase.

It currently has 265K on the clock but has a new remaned motor in the car with 25k on it. Body has been repainted the original color and it has these mods.

Drivetrain:
Rebuilt Engine at 240,000 (engine was purchased from BavarianEngineExchange with performance upgrade)
All Transmission seals and rings replaced at the time of engine swap.
New Radiator
Majority of rubber pieces were replaced since they were dry rotted.
Driveshaft replaced along with center bearing.
All chassis pressure hoses replaced.
Upgraded Chip.
All new rubber hoses and clamps.
New plugs and harness.
New original catalytic converter with O2 sensor. Super Sprint exhaust from cat back.
New AirFlow box with K&N air filter.
Only synthetic oil.

Interior:
Original interior was beige, which I changed to black including carpet.
M3 heated Vadar seats (front only).
M3 doorsills
Upgraded Stereo.
Alpine Head Unit with Screen.
Alpine Navigation.
Alpine Mono Amp 900W.
Fosgate 4X65 for rest.
Infinity Sub.
Infinity Rears.
BMW original tweeters.
MB Quarts front.
Upgraded Pedals.
Clutch Stop.

Exterior:
Professional paint job to restore car back to original Hennarot red.
AVS Front Spoiler
AVS Side Skirts
AVS Rear Skirt
AVS Rear Spoiler
M3 style side mirrors with turn signals.
15" KONI Rims (one has just a little curb rash)
Dunlop Tires W-10 (about 50% of the tread left)

Suspension and Breaks
Bilstein Sports Shocks
H&R springs
All the links as well as control arms, bushings, camber plates were replace at the time of suspension upgrade
Cross-drilled rotors ATE (Front only)
Stainless Steel brake lines
BMP Strut brace.

Misc:
New Battery
K&N Filter
Updated Hella Lights
Alarm system with keyless entry

I was wondering how good is the car overall and the motors reliability. I believe from my searching that this motor uses a timing belt not chain though Im not sure.

I really do hate timing belts, but I could deal I suppose, just hate the thought of an engine being driven by a belt.

Anyway, any thoughts on this car? It looks really nice and the price is right.

Thanks for any help

first off, welcome.

second, if the price is right, buy that thing. Sounds like all the right mods have already been done, so now it is just up to the maintenance for you. I know, timing belts are strange creations, but we have to live with them.

Well they are wanting just over 3k for the car. I mean it looks and presents well, no rust, no scratches, paint is not old at all. This will be my first time jumping into the BMW fold.

Ive always loved them but, well you know how it is, when your attracted to another vehicle.

But now I have the chance to own both.

Thanks for your repsonse and thanks for the welcome.

Love the eta's.
If you have a rebuilt engine, there's no reason that the car won't last until 500k.
ya, srsly.

Nice find. I’ll buy it if you won’t… I found some cars for sale but not good enough as that. The worst ones were those with just the hoses, including the BMW Brake Hose, were the ones new, not even painted to make it a bit desirable… ... Anyways, the good thing is you’re lucky for that. Just let us know if you were able to buy it and post some updates some time.
