HELLO!! Loving my first BMW but need some help. - BMW Forum

Greetings one and all.

Just bought my first bmw recently. A nice black 2002 530d sport with cream leather interior. Enjoying the car so far BUT i need some help from some of you fanatics. basically i only have sound from one channel (right) from my stereo. After inspection by myself and a local auto electrician it would appear there isd no AMP in my boot beside the cd changer where it should be. Auto electrician checked the head unit (cd/radio one) and assures me it does not have an inbuilt amp and the amp should be in the boot.
Can anyone help me out with this???
Checked boot (everywhere), under seats, under spare wheel etc and cant find the damn amp anywhere.
Any suggestions or advice greatly appreciated.

What it boils down to is if you cant find it in the boot as in the film, then it has been removed and thats why your having a hifi problem.

It was deffo fitted to your car at the factory.

I found the video on you tube also and checked again in my boot. Even stripped out the carpets etc this time and would you believe it - NOTHING.
I had actually just come to the same conclusion as your good self, That someone has removed the bloody amp from the car.
I know nothing about car audio systems so maybe you can confirm this for me.......Would the head unit/ cd changer be able to play anything (even only on one channel as im getting now) without having any amp attached??
