love this site, been surfing for only a few min, but lots of info already, oh, i have a 1985 318i needs work on injectors, runs like s**t, sat for 3 years, im in the process of painting it, original black diamond, very cool color

If it sat for 3 years recommend you drain replace all fluids, change plugs, change wires, new distributor cap, and especially new gas. Check/change all belts and hoses. Consider draining the gas tank also because over time the gas can evaporate and leave some pretty nasty residue like gum. Also want to put in a new fuel filter.

Then definitely do the injectors by removing and having them cleaned (or replace with some nice e-bay finds).

For safety check all fuel lines for warps and leaks.
