hi, just signed up here, tho ive been using these forums for a lot of research on stuff for my 325i.

so, about my car

its a 94 325i, with a homebuilt cold air intake

otherwise its pretty much completly stock. i had a 12" sub and a touchscreen head unit in there for a while, but decided to take it out so i could sell it.

i might sell it soon, but im not sure. definitely going to keep it if i can. theres a lot i want to put into it/

so, if i do keep it, im eventually going to throw in a AA supercharger..

put in racing seats with full harnesses. (but keep it so i can always throw the back seats back in and just stow the harnesses in the trunk or w/e.

after i finish that im hoping to get coilovers, strut bars, new wheels+tires, and carbon fiber hood.

i wonder if in the long run tho, if it would be better to do a s54 swap?


and if i did that wich would be better, supercharging it? or doing a twin turbo setup?

as for my application for this: track days+daily driving

edit: if you dont have nething positive/constructive to say, or youre just going to flame me, stop reading here and go away plz..

so i was just talking with one of my friends and he suggested i do a LS1 swap instead. this sounds like a not so bad idea, from what ive read the ls1 is an excellent motor and puts down some serious hp. what do you guys think?

An LS1 swap may be neat if it's not heavier than your current engine...

Welcome to the Werkz. Sounds, like a lot of work, be sure that you have the right platform before you start. Keep plenty of photos of your progress coming.

its almost 40 pounds lighter i think. (the ls1 weighs about 390 pounds and m50 wieghs in at about 427 lbs)

although, im not sure about these numbers. and thats without the tranny for both of them.
