I found this site browsing . It seems to be very informative, and lots of knowledge floating around in here, and therefore would like to get some input on a hard sourced topic!

I am looking at buying a 1997 328is .
The guy selling the car says he replaced the intake gaskets, and now is not getting any heat, unless he's going 100k down the highway. It does not over heat. he says there's no antifreeze in the oil, or burning out of the exhaust. I'm thinking t- stat, or air locked? what are all of your thoughts?

p.s. most likely the t-stat......the intake gaskets have nothing to do with the heat & if there was a air pocket, the engine would run hot.
