I have just joined the BMW forum. I am from Chile where I am living after living in the USA and I'm about to purchase a 1997 540i (automatic) with about 72,000 miles. I have scheduled a PPI for next Friday and I hope that the car passes it. It is in very clean conditions.
I was looking for a 2000-2001 530i, model that I had owned in the USA, instead of a 540i as gas prices here are exhorbitant but I could not afford one. Prices for such cars go in Chile for about USD $ 20,000. Anyhow, I am looking forward to enjoy again
the BMW experience (yes, despite the high car maintenance costs).
