My whole life had 4x4s... till now. Just got the first saloon and it's a
BMW 520D. After two months and after being impressed by the noiseless driving (although it's a diesel) I am getting a vibration in idle...it's like the engine is transferring a vibrating noise in the cabin. It tends to go away when the engine warms up after some driving. Any similar problem...anyone. I would appreciate an advice.

Try putting some injector cleaner in the tank, sounds like injectors to me, I do my merc van every 3-4 mths as I get this problem.

Thanks...although it's a new car ( two months old)and I buy premium fuel, I suppose it won't hurt trying a cleaner. Cheers

Do you buy from one of the main oil companies Shell - Esso etc. as I know that the cheaper forecourts do not put the additives that the top guys do in their fuel to keep your engine and injectors clean. Someone I know works as a tanker driver for Esso and they once filled up have to add 100 litres of additives to there load as the cheaper ones just pull in at the refinery fill up and go off to the forecourt, since I found this out Ive always used BP and my car runs 100% better. Just food for thought!!!
