My bride of 49 years has owned a 97 540I since new and it now has 179,000 miles and still looks great and runs like new. V8 and automatic. In first 5000 miles tranny went bad and BMW put a different one in that has worked great since. Never had fluid changed. They said it was different for some reason.

It is the purplish silver color and inside is two tone wine colored too. Has spoiler on back, came that way.

We have had many BMWs, all 5 series.

I am a retired Federal Prime Contractor that built things.

No pictures, wish I knew how to post pictures.
WE have a great dealership here as well as several BMW specialty shops that are very inexpensive to work on the BMW.
Tom Williams BMW is trustworthy and a great bunch to deal with.
Don't know how many I have sold for them and they were never aware.
